Dear Members,
The Santa Clara Valley Canary & Exotic Bird Club voted at its last meeting to postpone this month's meeting to the 17th because of Mother's Day.
We will be showing and discussing Exotic Birds at this meeting so anyone who has them, please feel free to bring a bird and let's talk about it.
Instead of our usual raffle, we will be having a "white elephant" sale-silent auction. (You write a bid on a slip of paper and place the bid under the item you wish to buy. The person with the highest bid gets the article.) If you have things you no longer use, or have no use for, bring it and put it on the sale table. It can be used or unused, anything in good condition.
We'll have our usual pot-luck so please bring your own table service, hot dish, salad or dessert. If you have any questions, please call Rosemarie Gordon, our hostess chairman. If you have signed up for a dish and are unable to make the meeting, please let her know as soon as possible. Thanks!
We wish to welcome 7 new members to our club, Stephan Fowler of Los Gatos, Bill Camalleri, June Warne, Nancy & Hershall Boring all of San Jose, and Dorris & Art Oliver of Fresno. By the way, Dorris & Art have been under the weather and we wish them a speedy recovery.
