Dear Members,

HEAR YE! HEAR YE! Appearing for our program this month will be Joe & Wendy Carbelho presenting their trained Hookbills. Maybe some of you saw them on the "GONG SHOW". This is their last performance before performing in a show in Las Vegas. This should be quite an entertaining program, so make an extra special effort to attend.

REMINDER: BBQ date July 9th, free for members. Save this date and think of something (anything) to bring for the big raffle at the BBQ.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: In late Sept. (date to be announced later) there will be a Flea Market for birds and bird related items. Members only will be selling, but open to the public for buying. This will be held in the Santa Clara High School Cafetorium. A nominal fee of $2.00 per table will be charged to the sellers. Check Arella will be the chairman of the event. Further details as time goes on.

GOOD NEWS: Talked to Elsie Martin on the phone and she is recovering nicely from her recent illness and hopes to make either this meeting or the next one.

Marcia Hetland is home from the hospital and feeling much better after having been in an automobile accident.

Congratulations to Margaret & Curt Roche on the birth of their first grandchild, a boy Corey, weighing 6# 10 oz.

RAFFLE: Those bringing birds for this months raffle are Joe Teixeira and Mary Volpe.
