I lived in Libra for six and a half years.
I bet you are pretty unfamilar with this country.
Libya has abundant petroleum underground and hence the people are generally very rich.

What is Mediterranean climate like?

Cozy. Shiny. Very less rain. Can't be better.

What is the desert climate like?

No water. Beautiful sand dunes. Terrible sand winds. Oasis. Camels.
