A long long time ago game called Railroad Tycoon was made by real Magician Sid Meier. It was a bestseller and a real time stealer. Even now lot of people like to play it even though it has extremely ugly graphics for today's standards but it won't be like that anymore. Guess why!
Yes you're right Railroad Tycoon 2 is here. It's developed by PopTop software and published by GOD (Gathering of developers -> new game publisher). PopTop got license from Microprose to use name so now we have sequel to one of the best games ever. In this game it is matter in earning money, making big railroad company and playing with stocks on stock market. And all this in 1024*768 resolution on big maps.

Railroad Tycoon II looks like a great game, but after playing it for
about 6 hours it has locked up the computer 4 times
and has suddenly quit running and returned to
windows 2 times. Of course each time it happens the game is lost. 
That makes it worthless to me! I
am running Windows 98 on a Pentium II w/ 64 Meg
RAM. My system is otherwise quite stable and very
rarely crashes when running other games and
software. The readme file suggested turning off
video optimizations which did not help. Looks like
the Gathering of Developers need to gather together
and get the kinks worked out. Potentially a great
game but simply not playable because of the bugs!!!!!
