Final Fantasy Movie

Movies have generated many video games over the past few years but now video games have slowly made their way into the theatres over the past few years. This may be a strong indication of the way games have become accepted in the mainstream over the past few years. However, due to the problems of these movies (ok they all were junk), the flooding into the theatres is arriving late. However, there are a few games that are arriving now that have the potential to become a hit. Being released shortly will be a movie based on Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, and now Final Fantasy. Square is developing the movie as well and they have said it is the, "first computer-generated, animated motion picture with photo-real human characters," called Final Fantasy: The Movie.
The game is set for worldwide release in the year 2001 and will directily be based on the popular Final Fantasy VII game for the Playstation console. The movie has great potential to shine on the big screen mainly due to the recent success of such movies as Ants, A Bugs Life, and Toy Story. However, Square plans to be the first to simulate human emotions in computer generated graphics.
The movie will be taped in Honolulu, Hawaii and we all hope for it to be as successful as the game.
