Medic AID offers palmtop delivery of information and the ease of use of desktop systems. Information entry is intuitive and convenient and can be as much or as little as the user wishes. Several interlocking databases and management routines ensure that answers are available when required and are secure from deletion or eaves-dropping. The following screenshots give a brief taste of a few of the screens within the package.
Clicking on the thumbnail images expands them.
Electronic Formulary
Medic AID allows the user to maintain an electronic formulary, and to use this information either as a resource or (via cross-referencing) to directly enter and maintain patient drugcards. This can be especially useful in the Outpatients department where complicated chronic drug regimes may be employed, or as an aide-memoire to the ward based doctor wanting a pocket sized formulary specific to their daily practice.
Jobs/To Do List manager
You need never lose a scrap of paper or forget a job again. Medic AID offers patient job lists both on an individual basis, general reminders and as a global view of all jobs to do. Once completed, jobs can be crossed and even archived, advanced features allow alarms/countdowns to be attached to individual jobs/patients.
Advanced Security Features
Multi-level password protection, interrupt driven screen savers, deletion security, file locks and sophisticated file encryption routines ensure a high level of security and compliance with DATA protection issues. Registration of the package activates many of these features.
Results Management
This section of Medic AID is perhaps its most innovative. Exclusively designed code enables the user to add/define any test they may perform, give it reference ranges and alerts and Medic AID will then monitor any results entered with respect to this information. This allows specialised use of Medic AID where titrations of serum rhubarb may be required! Information is presented in tabular and graphical forms (not shown) and is printable.
