Space Quest I (Text)
The Sarien Encounter

The 16-colour Space Quest I text version contains some funny easter-eggs and jokes. If you happen to have found other ones, please send them to the e-mail address stated on the index screen.

First of all, doesn't the story sounds almost like Star Wars. A weapon which can destroy planets, a desert planet, a landspeeder, and dressing as a soldier from the enemy, all these thing happen in Star Wars.

At the bar, the Blues Brother randomly appear in the Ulence Flats bar

Press the don't press button, when you have escaped. Then suddenly. you crash in the moat of Kings Quest I

In early versions of Space Quest I, when you typed "ken" in the first screen aboard the Arcada, Ken Williams would walk onto the screen and complain that the game was behind schedule. Doing it twice would produce the message "Dave? Dave's not here". This does NOT work with version 2.2, which is supplied with the Space Quest Collection CD.

At any time during play, typing "scott" or "scott murphy" will provide you with a personal message from co-designer and programmer Scott Murphy, asking you to drop him a line at Sierra and tell him if you enjoyed playing or not...

The planet Kerona is a spoof on a reported alien crash site in 1987.
