    Messages file format

Messages file contains one line for each message. Each line defines message parameters as a set of character separated fields. Default separator character is "|". Other than default, character can be defined with SEPARATOR param.
    Line contains following fields:
     HeadingFontSettings | HeadingColor | HeadingText | Message FontSettings | MessageColor | Message Text | url | target

FontSettings itself consists of 3 fields separated with space character: FontName FontStyle FontHeight.
Java supports following platform independent fontnames aliases:
  • Dialog
  • InputDialog
  • TimesRoman
  • Courier
  • Helvetica FontStyle
  • 0 - plain
  • 1 - bold
  • 2 - italic
  • 3 - bold italic FontHeight is integer number in pixels.

target fileld is the equivalent of <A ..> tag TARGET attribute. It can contain either name of frame/window as defined in frameset either one of predefined values _self, _top, _parent, _blank.
url field is equivalent to <A ..> tag HREF attribute. URL is relative to document URL. One can use "javascript:someFunction()" like URLs to call javascript functions when message is clicked.
Here is sample line of config:
     Dialog 0 12| 000000 | Sample\nHeading | Dialog 0 10 | 0000ff | Sample message | some.html | _self

Note: both heading and message text support \n characters combination as line breaks.

    Colors

All colors are in hexadecimal RRGGBB format (same as HTML colors are) but without # symbol. Please use this color selector to pick colors of your choice. Then copy selected color values into applet params.
