Software - With the MxPro you get an istallation disk.
This disk runs a benchmark utility that will give you before and after
results. The results measure the CPU integer in Dhrystones and it
measures the multimedia ability.
The installation disk also tests your sytem for BIOS compatibility.
If the system fails the BIOS test, they have included a new BIOS that may
be used on your system. The compatibility of your system with this
new BIOS will also be tested when the installation program is done.
The software also has a screen that will tell you about your computer.
I was amazed to find that the program gave me the jumper setting for adjusting
my CPU bus speed. This is a valuable piece of information for those
of us who cannot find our manuals.
Sticker - They even supplied a little sticker to take place
of that Intel Inside sticker that comes on the Packard Bell systems.
This sticker says Powered by Evergreen Technologies
(TM).
Free 30-day trial - This free trial is of IBM's ViaVoice which
will let you speak to your computer and have it type or talk in six different
languages. I have not tried it yet, but it sounds like a fun demo
to try.
