After nearly 5 years of participation in #mp3_hiphop, the FIRST mp3 channel dedicated to Rap and Hiphop on Dalnet, the Notorious Outlawz Mafia has closed a deal that turns ownership of the channel to Outlawz founder Og_Deadbolt.

This reflects the 1998 re-registration after a hacker attack.

The channel was founded originally in 1996-97 by WU and BLACKMASK and grew to one of the largest overall Mp3 channels on Dalnet. Soon after #mp3_jamz was founded by Og_Deadbolt (one of the original ops of #mp3_hiphop) and the 2 channels have had a good working relationship ever since. The channel was turned over to [PUDDY] aka NIKFISH in 1999 and remained sole founder till Feb 1st 2002 when NIKFISH and his lawyers finalized the transaction with representitives from o|_.
