NOTE: THIS FAQ IS RATHER SMALL FOR A NO LIMIT FAQ BUT THE INFO HERE IS MORE
THAN ENOUGH TO BEAT THE GAME. IN THIS FAQ I'LL REFER TO THE DARK WORLD AS
DW, AND THE LIGHT WORLD AS LW...SAVING ME FROM HAVING TO TYPE THAT A DOZEN
TIMES

This game is in my opinion one of the best SNES game ever made! It
wasn't made right before the SNES died either. This game is basically an
extension of the First Legend Of Zelda Game for the NES. If you loved the
1st you will love this one. The boss characters in this game require some
work to beat. And some of the items (like the Big Key in Misery Mire),
require a lot of work to get.
This is one of my most favorite SNES games if you like any adventure
game then you will like this one. This game has a lot of very creative
creatures and monsters in it. My favorite is Vitreous at the end of Misery
Mire. This game is one of the best 16-bit games ever!! A must-have!!

In order to comprehend the legend...one must first know of the legend of
the Triforce.
Long ago, 3 goddesses created Hyrule when they left, they left a sacred
golden triforce they hid it in a golden land. The triforce has the
power to grant the wishes in the heart and mind of the person who
touches it, if good the world will become a paradise, if evil the world
will be full, of evil. So the goddesses hid it. Many people sought to
aggressively enter the hidden Golden Land but no one ever returned. One
day evil power began to flow from the hidden Golden Land. So the King
Of Hyrule commanded the Seven Wise Men to seal the portal to the land of
The Golden Power. That seal should have remained for all time. But
these events were obscured by the mists of time and became legend...
Years pass, a wizard known as Agahnim came to Hyrule to release the seal,
he eliminated the King Of Hyrule. In order to break the seal he bewitched
the knights so they would not defend the King and they would become his
knights. Then thru his evil magic he began to make the descendants of the
7 wise men disappear one after another to break the seal. He broke the
seal and evil power spread all over the land.
The legend of the triforce tells of a hero who will defeat the evil owner
of the triforce and restore peace, but who is it???

hold your sword up and get the medallion. In order to get on the plateau

---
Lamp
You can find this in one of 3 locations, the chest in your house, or the
chest next to Princess Zelda in the Castle Dungeon, or from the chest in

that would normally have the lamp will have 5 rupees in them. Use this
to light torches in dark areas, to see the entire area around you.
---
Magic Mushroom
You can find this in the Lost Woods, northeast of the thieves hideout.
Give it to the witch outside the Magic Shop, and come back inside of the
Magic Shop later to get Magic Powder (see below).
---
Magic Powder
This is found in the potion shop after you give a mushroom to the witch
outside (see above entry). When you sprinkle this stuff on an enemy
like the green potato monster they will change shape. You can get a lot
of really neat stuff with this powder (look to the Tips & Tricks, etc.
section for info on how to get this neat stuff). The powder can give you
a lot of cool things, but it isn't necessary to beat the game.
---
Magic Hammer
This is found in the Palace of Darkness (see Walkthru). This is found in a
big chest on a small platform in the Dark Palace. This item lets you access
some previously unreachable areas, by pounding down some fence posts, or
moles (these things are in the Palace of Darkness as well). You can also
use it to defeat enemies like the turtle which you will also find in the
Palace Of Darkness.
---
Shovel
This is given to you by a creature who is in the center of the grove (this
is in the same place where the grove is in the Light World) talk to him
and agree to help him and he will give you the shovel. You can use it
to find the boy's flute in the Light World's grove (see below).
---
Flute
Get the flute by digging it up in the upper left corner of the grove in
the Light World with the Shovel (see above entry). The place to dig is
where the flowers are in the upper left, right next to the trees. Once
you have the flute ego back to the boy and talk to him and play the flute
for him. Then go to Kakariko Village and play it for the old man in the
tavern. Then go to the weathercock in the center of the village and play
the tune for it and then the duck will appear now exit Kakariko Village
and play the flute again you will be picked up by the duck and you can
fly to one of 8 locations: Death Mountain Entrance, in front of Magic
Shop, right in front of Kakariko Village square (where the weathercock was),
in front of your house, below the Eastern Palace area, in the Desert (you
can pull up a stone here to warp to Misery Mire), in front of the Sewer
Palace, and the last one (8) below Lake Hylia. You can only warp in the
Light World, with the duck.
---
Bug-Catching Net
You can get this from the sick boy who is inside of his house in Kakariko
Village. Use this to catch bees, and even Fairies and put them into one

an old man, lead him back to his house, he will give you the Magic Mirror.

transported to that exact same location in the Light World. If you end up
on the side of a mountain or something like that in the Light World you
be transported back to the Dark World. Where you entered the Light World
from there will be a warp point there back to the Dark World. The warp
point appears on the map. This item is indispensable on your quest.

Magic Cape
In order to get this go to where the graveyard is in the Light World (this
is found in the Dark World) and go to the upper right of the garden here
(in the Dark World of course) position yourself right next to the pile of
stones there. Get in the fenced off area by going back outside the garden
and around the back part of the fence go thru the pile of stones and then
dash thru all the bushes in front of you, then cut the bush next to the
fenced off area that has the pile of stones I am talking about. Now use
the Magic Mirror while standing right next to those stones and you should
end up in an area with a gravestone in the Light World if not re-position
yourself and try again. Now stand in front of the gravestone and turn to
your left or right, and start a dash just before you dash turn towards the
gravestone and you'll dash into it revealing a secret passage go down into
it and retrieve the Magic Cape from the chest down in there. The Magic

The block will disappear after hitting an enemy 4 or 5 times. What a
wonderful item!!

Cane Of Byrna
This is found in a cave on the mountain that is in the exact some location
as Death Mountain in the Light World. Jump down onto a platform on top of
the mountain and enter the hole, the platform is directly below the area

chests, keep on playing til you get the HCP, this is also all about luck,
just like the digging game. Most of the items are very cheap, but others
give you 30 arrows, or bombs, or 50 rupees. You will have more luck at
finding the HCP faster here than in the digging game.
20. The Stakes South Of The Gossip Shop: Where the Smithy's house is in
the LW there is the Gossip Shop in the DW, the building where you get the
locked chest, anyway, poun ddown all of the stakes to the south of the

============================================================================
1. BALL & CHAIN TROOPER HYRULE CASTLE DUNGEON
Use the pots in the unlocked prison room and throw them at him, after he
gets hit by 2 of them he will die and cough up the big key. An alternative
is to stun him with the boomerang then hit him with your sword retreat, and
repeat, but throwing the pots at him work the best.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. ARMOS KNIGHTS EASTERN PALACE
Stay in the lower right corner of the room to avoid the hopping knights.
When they line up in a stright line shoot 3 arrows into each one of them.
To destroy them, if they start to hop around in a circle again retreat to
the lower right corner of the room again. When you have destroyed all but
one the last one will become very angry he wil try to smashg you keep
running away from when and when he lands turn around and let loose with a
fussilade of arrows and repeat until he is dead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. LANMOLAS DESERT PALACE
There are 3 of these worms, don't stay in one palce to long because they
can detect where you are standing and will appear right below you. Watch
out for the rocks that are kicked up when they exit the ground because the
rocks can hurt you. When you are close to a Lanmola's head hit it with
your sword and repeat it until all of them are dead. Watch out for the
last Lanmola becasue it wil kick up a lot more rocks than the others. A
good way to destroy this guys quickly is to get the Ice Rod from the east
side of lake Hylia and then shoot them with the Ice Rod (this is the method
I use most often, but make sure you aim good.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. MOLDORM TOWER OF HERA
Manuever around the platform avoiding Moldorm, when you have a clear shot
at the red end of his tail, swipe at it with your sword after a couple
of hits Moldorm will start to go much faster, just keep your cool and hit
him one more time to kill him....if you get pushed off the platform head
up and try again. What I do is I charge a spin attack and face Moldorm
walking towards him, when he comes colsew to me I keep with him, and when
he turns I nail him in the tail, however, it is easier to get pushed off
this way. I good way to do this would' be to stay against the wall you
jump down to fight Moldorm, and hold your sword so when he comes he will
be hit by uour sword when he turns and it is harder for you to get pushed
off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. AGAHNIM HYRULE CASTLE TOWER
In order to find Agahnim cut down the draperies in the back wall of the room
with your sword to reveal a door enter the door, and you'll square off.
Stand directly in front of him. And when he fires a magic ball at you, hit
it with your sword to deflect it back at him. If he goes to the top of
the screen go to the upper left or right corner wuickly, or you will be
zapped by a thunderbolt. Agahnim may also fire a ball of of fireballs hit
them witrh your sword or move out of the way, when they hit a wall or your
sword they will break apart. Keep on deflecting the magic balls Agahnim
fires at you back at him and he will go down. You can also use the Bug-
Catching Net (of all things) to reflect the magic balls back at him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. HELMASAUR KING PALACE OF DARKNESS
Place bombs so they explode and destroy part of the mask that he wears after
his mask gets hit 4 times with a bomb blast or so...it will fall off. Then
pump arrows into the exposed green spot to kill him. Watch out for his tail
attack it does a lot of damage, he can also spit out fireballs (which
multiply).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. ARRGHUS WATER PALACE
Use your new hookshot to pull off one of the brown round things (Arrghi)
that swarm around Arrghus then attack and kill the Arrghi with your sword.
Stay away a good distance from Arrghus as he can spin the Arrghi out away
from his body. use your hookshot an sword to kill all of the Arrghi, when
Arrghus flies up keep walking until he lands (so he won't crush you) then
when he is swimming around hit him with your sword, then when he goes back
up again keep walking when he lands use your sword on him and repeat until
he dies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. MOTHULA SKULL PALACE
Be careful in this battle the floor moves and shifts directions and the
spikes on the walls fly across the floor. Use your Fire Rod on Mothula.
If you run out of magic power then use your sword (you should have some
Magic Potion). The Magic Cape may come in handy here to protect yourself.
Watch out for Mothula's Triple Beam attack, it does a lot of damage. Just
keep on hitting/slash shooting him with the fire rod, to kill him. You
can also use your sword.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. BLIND THE THIEF BLIND'S HIDEOUT
When the maiden transforms into Blind hit him in the head with your sword
3 times, when his body goes down once another head will appear and fly
around the room shooting fireballs, hit Blind another 3 times in the head
and he'll go down again, and another head will appear, now would be a good
time to use the Magic Cape, now hit Blind in the head another 3 times and
he will die. In order to get Blind to appear bomb thru the floor above the
Boss Room, then get the maiden from the basement and then bring her up to
the boss room and then lead her into the light that shines down from the
above room, she will then transform into Blind. Be careful when Blind goes
into the light he will start firing fireballs like mad. Watch out for his
laser beam that he fires its best to stay behind his head.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
10. KHOLDSTARE ICE PALACE
Keep moving around the chamber to keep from getting hit by the ice balls
that fall from the cielieng, fire your Fire Rod at the ice sorrounding
Kholdstare, once you hit it 8 times it will dissapear, and.....surprise
Kholdstare has 3 bodies. Hit all 3 of the boides with a combination of the
Fire Rod and your sword, keep moving to avoid the bodies they will to try
to run over you, once all 3 bodies are dead the 5th crystal is yours.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
11. VITREOUS MISERY MAZE
Stay to the center-right side of the room to avoid the Lightning blasts that
he fires. Kill all the small eyes that attack you with your sword. Once
all of the small eyes are gone Vitreous will come up out of the ooze to
chase you around the room. Keep shooting arrows at it and it will be held
back, and it will eventually die. It is a very good idea to use the Cane Of
Byrna in this fight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
12. TRINEXX TURTLE ROCK
This monster had 3 heads, use the Fire Rod on the Blue (Ice) head, and use
the Ice Rod on the Red (Fire) head. First, use the Fire Rod to stun the
Ice Head then attack it with your sword and repeat until it's dead. Then
use the Ice Rod on the Fire Head to stun it then hit it with your sword &
reapeat it until it is dead. Wtach out for the middle head's jutting-out
Trinexx will explode revealing itself as a long serpent with a vulnerable
flashing midsection, attack it with your sword until Trinexx is dead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
13. AGAHNIM (2ND BATTLE) GANON'S TOWER
Ignore the clones (the clones you can see thru, and they have a real dull
color) just concentrate on reflecting the magic balls back at the real
Agahnim until he is dead. Agahnim can't use the Lightning Bolt attack
anymore this is rather an easy battle. A good thing to do is to line your
self up with a clone and the real Agahnim so when you reflect back the
clone's magic balls and the real Agahnim's magic balls, the real Agahnim
will get hit twice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
14. GANON PYRAMID OF POWER
The final battle youd better hope you brought some Life & Magic Potion with
you. Jump into the hole at the top of the Pyramid Of Power to fight Ganon.
Keep on hitting him with your sword. He first attacks with his trident,
then with his blazing bats, then he loses his trident....spins a firebat
around him and smashes the floor so part of it goes out, Ganon will
continue to destroy the outside part of the floor until there is no outside
floor. When he starts his secret technique of Darkness use your Fire Rod
to light the 2 torches on the bottom then run and hit Ganon with your sword
and when he turns blue shoot a Silver Arrow into him, repeat the process
until you ahve shot him 4 times and he'll die....be careful not to fall of
the edge of the floor. There is no other way to kill Ganon than to use the
Silver Arrows.

Look at your map, in the exact same location as the Eastern Palace
is in the LW, there is the Palace Of Darkness in the DW. Head over there.
Navigate thru all of the briers and when you get to the big square section
of briars, enter from the top, and you can see Link thru the briars, the
places that you can walk in have porous tops (you can see Link walk in them
(hope you get what I am trying to say) anyway, follow the porous top to
end up on the right side of the square section...now a monkey will be
following you, pay him a few ruppees for him to follow. Make sure the place
is clear of any enemies before you step out or Kiki (the monkey) will run
away if you are attacked once you get up to the entrance of the castle Kiki
will ask for 100 ruppees (THATS STIFF) to open the entrance for you, pay him

and a chest will appear in the lwoer-right open the chest for a key. Go
back to the entrance room (throw all the skull-pots to find a switch to open
the door in the passage room) this time go to your right and step on the

balcony and open the locked door and enter it. Get the Big Key from the
chest there, and jump off to the right again. Find your way back to the
room you were just in (it shouldn't be too hard I went over it a HUNDRED
times). And this time take the right passage except don't jump off the
floor keep going up and enter the nxt door. Here open the chest and go
forward jumping off the side of the platform marked with an arrow. Go up
and turn to your left and enter the next open door. If blocks block your

Anyway, pick up one of the skull-pots and keep it and start walking across
the narrow platform, throw the pot your carrying at the Helmasaur you'll
see along your way, the enxt one you run into hit him with your sword until
he falls off (remember the ground is crumbling behind you.) Pick up both of
the skull-pots at the end and enter the door to your left. In this maze

no prob, pull/push the upper right statue onto the switch, and the door
will stay open enter it. Kill all of the Goriyas here, enter the next
door. If the golden blocks block you hit the crystal switch, anyhow, go
to the right side of the room and fire an arrow at the cyclops statue so
it hits it in the eye, then a secret passage will open. Go down the stairs
that are revealed. Smash all the moles with your Magic Hammer, now while
standing in between the gold and blue blocks throw your boomerang so it hits
the switch, and pulls the Blue Blocks down. Throw the 2 skull-pots there
to find a key and enter the locked door. Kill a turtle in thsi room and
enter the next door. Kill all of the turtles in this room, and light both

across the spikes, lift up the skull-pot, step on the switch, hookshot_back_
over to the chest and open it for a key. Now walk across the spikes (OUCH!
DID THAT HURT??? You'll survive.) and enter the staircase on the side you
are now on. Here, kill the stalfos that jumps down, smash the moles, pick
up the block get the key, avoid the Spirit Of Golden Power, and smash down
2 more moles, destroy the stalfos again that drops down, throw all of the
skull-pots to find a switch..step on it, open the chest, pull on the statues
tonuge inm front of you to open the door on the right wall enter the door.
Go up the steps and in this room open the chest for the Big Key. Go down
the steps, and pull on the statue's tongue to open teh door, enter it. Here
enter teh staircase and here hookshot across the spikes, enter the locked
door. Enter the door on the left wall. Here go down the steps. Here
destroy all of the Ice Skeletons, bomb teh center of the cracked part of
the floor to open a hole..fall into the hole. Open the Big Chest there
for the Blue Mail. Push all of teh blocks to the right, and enter the door
on the right wall. Here enter the door thats locked on the upper wall
with the Big Key. In this room enter the locked door. Here enter the door
on the bottom wall. In this room kill all of the enemies, lift up the
skull-pot, use the Cane Of Somaria and create a block push it over onto the
switch, you found when you threw the lifted skull pot, to keep the door
open. Enter the bottom door (the door that opened). (Now you see why I
did them out of order it makes getting to the Dungeon Boss in this place a
lot easier, if I didn't then I would attempt to explain how to push a block
from above in that room with the 4 blocks and the pit...which is very long
and complicated). Anyway, in this new room, throw the 2 skull pots on the
left side, and pull the statue against the right wall of teh narrow corridor
smash the moles, and lift up the big block, drop down and fight Kholdstare,
when he is dead you will get the 5th crystal.
Chapter 18: Power Of Quake
From the DW's shop, which is located exactly where the Magic Shop is
in the LW, go up and around lik you were going to Zora's River. At the
end of the path you will see a sign that says "Do not thro anything into my
Circle Of Stones." Be a little punk and throw the sign in the Circle Of
Stones. A huge fish will appear and throw out to you the Quake Medallion
pick it up, and warp to the LW. Go back to where the Tower Of Hera is
(where you fought Moldorm).
Chapter 19: Find Princess Zelda!!
In order to get to the place where Princess Zelda is being held, you
must first be near the LW's Tower Of Hera which is where you got the 3rd
pendant if you forgot. From the Tower of Hera (which is on Death Mountain)
go to the right, and go thru this screen, and when you come to this screen
with the plateau with 3 stakes on it. Get on the plateau, by lifting up
the rock, and pound the stakes down in a counter-clockwise pattern (bottom
right, northern, bottom left). Then a tile wil appear step on the tile
to transport to the top of Turtle Rock. Go and stand on the Quake Medaliion
icon and then use the Quake Medallion, Turtle Rock will open. Enter it.
In the first room, throw the skull-pot to the right. And see that
"?" block....use your Cane Of Somaria while standing next to it to create a
platform (these are everywhere). Throw the other skull-pot to get a large
maigc decanter. Ride the Somarian platform (the one you created with the
Cane Of Somaria...I'll refer to them as that later) up to the next door
enter it. Here create a Somarian Platform & get on it, go right past
the first door and enter the second door (don't turn while at that white
intersection). Here create a Somarian Platform and select your Fire Rod.
Go up facing down, use your Fire Rod when in line with the torches to light
them, immediately after lighting the last torch use your hookshot on the
torch and you'll fall down into a hole but start back at the entrance....
enter the door that was closed earlier, and go to the top of this room and
lift all the skull-pots, and all the chest to get a key, the map, and a
decanter. Go back to the room with the torches, exit this room. Here
create another Somarian Platform and ride it up to the north, go past the
first door and enter the second locked door, here kill all the enemies to
get another key, enter the locked door above you. Here hit the crystal
switch to make the blue blocks fall go to the lower left corner and move
the single upper block to make a chest appear, now hit the Crystal switch
again while out of the fenced off area with the blue blocks, and go up and
open the chest to get a key, enter the locked door. Here go down the steps
and go down to the lower-right corner of the room, go up the steps there
and enter the vacuum you will be transported to a door enter it. Call this
room the Lava room, enter the lower vacuum, enter teh door you are
transported. Go down in this room and hit the crystal switch to make the
blue blocks fall, kill all of the enemies down here and take the key...watch
out for that eye they fire lasers to enter the door, put your back against
it and start charging a spin-slash and move yourself up against the door..
when you release the button quickly enter teh door before the laser has
a chance to fire at you. Here enter the vacuum tube, at the end open the
chest there to get the Big Key, enter the othe vacuum tube, enter the door
there. Enter the vacuum tube here, throw the skull-pot for a decanter, jump
down, go down into the lower right corner again and go up the steps and
enter the vacuum tube, enter the door at the end. Here enter the upper
vacuum tube in the Lava room, enter the door at the end. Here kill all of
the enemies and go enter the door on the bottom wall. Enter the door on the
left. Here throw the skull-pot closest to you, and use the Magic Cape.
While you are invincible bomb open the cracked wall there and enter the hole
you created. You are on the outside, go over to teh other side of the
platform, (you can transport over to the LW now for a HCP) adn enter the
door there. Here create a Somarian Block and go over to the big chest open
it for the Mirror Shield, enter the next room. Here open teh locked door
on the north wall. Here enter the vacuum tube, at the end enter the door.
Kill all of the enemies here, adn blow open the north cracked wall, enter
the hole you created. Here throw your boomerang to hit the Crystal Switch,
to make the gold blocks fall...and when teh pinroller is on the right side
run up inside and throw the boomerang back at the crystal switch. Then run
over into the area fenced off by the blue blocks, and open the chest there
for a key then enter the locked door on the northern wall. Here create a
Somarian Block ride it right, go down at the 1st intersection, go past the
1st intersection you come across after making the turn and go down at the
second intersection...enter the platform, lift up the skull-pot and step
on the switch to open a door. Go back on the Somarian Platform and go
back to the entrance. From the entrance turn left, continue to go down
ignoring all of the intersections, ignore the 1st 2 intersections you see
along the path and go up the 3rd intersection, then turn left at the next
left at the next intersection and continue to go left until you reach the
door that you opened, enter it. Run down this room and enter the door on
the south wall. Here dash down to the bottom, kill the Waddler and hold
you shield so that you reflect the beam of the first wall eye laser you
come by, go into the passage to the left and open the chest there for the
key, go back into the previous room and open the locked door and enter it.
Here go past teh 1st two sets of gold blocks then throw your boomerang to
hit the switch, then go up past a set of a blue block, throw you boomerang
at teh Crystal Switch, go up and then go left going past 3 sets of golden
blocks, go up going past a set of golden block, go to the right going past
a set of Golden Block, throw you boomernag at the crystal switch you passed
go up adn enter the door. Here create a Somarian Block, then throw both of
the skull-pots for a large magic decanter. Then enter teh Somarian platform
and then travel up to the locked door...and enter it with teh Big Key. Kill
Trinexx and rescue Princess Zelda.
Chapter 20: Tower Of Ganon
Walk up to Gannon's Tower and the 7 maidens will come out and open
the Tower up enter it. In the Plaza room go down the stairway on the left.
Dash into the right lit torch to get a key. Enter the door on the left
wall. Smash down all the moles, and push the block in the middle to open
the door and get rid of the pits. Lift all of the skull-pots for a key, and
enter the door that opened. Here hookshot over to the block across from
you, lift up the skull-pot and go to the left of this platform and hookshot
down to the platform below you, then turn to your right and hookshot over
to the right platform, then go to the right lwoer edge of this platform,
hookshot to the platform with the Spiekd Block below, go to the edge
of this platform and hookshot over to the skull-pots by using the skull-pots
kill the enemy there and strike the crystal switch so the blocks fall, and
put a bomb next to one of the switches and quickly run past the blue blocks
when teh bomb explodes it activates the gold blocks to fall, go into the
next room. Here stand next to the 4-way cannon and face the switches, put
down a bomb and go past all of the golden blocks the bomb should case the
blue blocks to fall, if it does but rises them again try laying the bomb
farther away from the 2 switches, throw both of the pots to get a key.
