Well I got an early start with my first computer, an IBM PCjr, when I was about 7 years old. My next system was an Adam Colecovision, but I still more often used the PCjr. That is where I learned the brawn of my knowledge. The PCjr was an 8mhz machine, with 256k memory, support for 16 colors, and only a 720k 5 1/4 floppy disk drive. It later was upgraded to 640k memory and also added a 3 1/2 disk drive. I always wanted to push the limit and shortly found myself making programs run on this little computer that by its requirements should have been impossible to run on this machine. I grew up with good old DOS and when I was 10 I got my frist modem, a clunky 2400. I shortly discovered BBS and also subscribed to Prodigy®. I went threw the stepping stones and finally settled down in `94 with a 486 66mhz machine. In the summer of `97 I made the leap to a Pentium 166. Over the summer of `98 I upgraded to my current machine. I have had experience with numerous operating systems: DOS, Win series, OS/2, Unix and counterparts, and even touched a dreaded Mac. You couldnt possibly want to know anything else, so give it up and check out the rest of my site. |
