Nagainallur Periyandavar - suppose to be like ardhanatheeswarar - its like neither man or woman sort of - one cannot see the form of the god.
Currently in Nagainallur for Haritha Gothram devotees - Mr.Lakshmana Iyer is taking care - means people stay in his house and visit god.
Certain days there are no padaippu for swamy:
- Tuesdays - Saturdays - Aadi masam - Marghazhi masam - Malayapaksham amasavai to entire navarathri (Apart from this list - need to contact the concerned person who take care of swamy's devotees in his house in Nagainallur - currently have to check with Lakshmana Iyer)
For Dhasrshan:
- If devotees are visiting only for dharshan - then there is no restriction that after visiting nagainallur that they should necessarily go back to their home. - Also they can visit during non padaippu days
For Padaippu to swamy : - Devotees should bear in mind that after visiting swamy they should necessarily go back to their home directly and shouldnt visit any other house - basically take the prasadam directly to their home and not to any other house. - Padaippu for only one family is allowed per day (Basically you have to check prior before coming for padaippu - so that there are no other family for padaippu on that particular day) - For padaippu 9 yards saree (NEW) is mandatory - Shouldn’t go out on that day - During padaippu day - There will be abhishekam for pidariyamman - For periyandavar also - there will be abhishekam but we are not suppose to see - Pandaram will bring the 9 yard saree to the house (Where the devotees are staying) - The koodam of the house has to be decorated with maa kolam - No Electric light should glow in the house when the pandaram is coming - Pandaram will keep the saree on the palagai, he will pour water on it. -5 mugam villaku has to be lit near the palagai - whoever is doing the padaippu (the elder lady) - has to be in 9 yards, take this saree from the periyavar and are expected to namaskaram the periyavar - Till this point no electric light should be switched on - Whoever takes the saree has to wear it (may be next day) - Expectation is during padaippu day - the concerned people should stay in nagainallur only
Mudi yerrakum is mandatory if the family is blessed with Baby boy - should do it during odd ages only (Before 1 completes / 3 completes) - If mudi yerakum was not possible then they can conduct poonal in nagainallur - If that was not possible then marriage has to be done in nagainallur - For mudi yerakum padaippu is mandatroy - hence the family should plan during auspicious padaippu days
Restriction for girl kids There is some restriction for the girl kid. - Girl kid shouldnt be present in the house when padaippu happens - The girl kid shouldn’t have the vibhuthi prasadam of the padaippu - Even the elders are not suppose put that vibhuthi in front of the girl kid - One explanation for this bcoz - their gothram will change when they get married.

Bus no - 24 (Kattuputhur) (Pls check the latest number)
Goes via - namakkal, valampatti, Andapuram, Kattuputhur.
Get down in Vallayampatti (Trichy, Salem main road)
From Trichy-Salem Main Road:
Bus Number - 15B
Also via road - Trichy - salem main road - go till
valayampatti, valayampatti diverts to kattuputhur - Dont take
that - if u go further 5 km - MELKALYANAMPATTI - take right -
go till perumal kovil - take the opposite road - which is
basically agraharam - you will reach Lakshmanan's house -
currently hez the persone who takes care of periyandavar
devotees.
