Visitors: ![]() One of my personal interests in the last few years is reading about all the major issues affecting the computer industry, such as security problems with software and the numerous viruses that are written every day. So I thought I'd help out everyone on the Internet by summarizing the major headlines in a few categories. For each issue or problem, I give a short summary about it and provide links to the sources I read so you can get more information, if you're interested. Unfortunately, since I do Compupolis on my spare time, Consumer Watch is not updated as often as it probably should be. I also probably don't see every advisory or media coverage of an issue, so I certainly will miss a few issues. Therefore, don't assume that if it's not mentioned here, it's ok. It may be, but it may not. Check other web sites, such as the CERT Coordination Center, regularly for any major issues that may arise. Learn out about the latest computer related class action lawsuits. Read about them here. Don't get fooled by some Internet scam. Get the information you need to protect yourself. Find out about the latest problems with computer security. Read about them here. New viruses, worms, and trojan horses appear on the Internet all the time. Read about them here. Do you use a web-based e-mail service such as MSN Hotmail? Then you don't want to miss this one. Read about the latest issues with web-based e-mail here.
