He often brags about how good his sword skills is. From a honour samurai background, his aim is to become as strong as kenshin or even better ^_^ duh. Used to be a pickpocket for a group of Yakuza, Kenshin and Kaoru saved him from further depair. And presently living at the Kamiya Dojo with Kaoru and others.

He learns sword skills from Kaoru and dislike using the Shinai ( he prefers Kenshin's real one ^_^)
