October 1997's Featured Freeware

This month's featured freeware is HTML Structured Editor 1.0.92. This HTML text editor slash web site manager offers a clean, uncluttered multi-document interface. It's good if you're just editing a few lines on [all] your pages, but I wouldn't recommend using it to create a website, but I would recommend it to help you manage one.

Features include:

• find (but not replace yet)
• one-click browser preview with Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or both
• insert text files into documents
• toolbar with buttons to the features above plus tags for bold, italic, image, link, and table.
• word wrap
• undo
• the SD tag to structure your pages to work easily with them

If you're looking for something relatively simple to help you manage your website, HTML Structured Editor may just be what you're looking for. You can download the program from the HTML Structured Editor Home Page. The author Giovanni Gentili is currently working on a new version.
