Dear Bill,

I am very sorry to say that Mabel's son Randy gave me some very sad news after Thanksgiving. He said that his Mother passed away on November 14, 2006. She had been struggling with both diabetes and kidney problems.

It was Randy's wish to have this information passed along to others who knew his Mother.

Thank you and warm regards,

Bill,

Sorry I didn't get this to you sooner, but Robert Brandon passed away. Here is his obituary.

Regards,

Jim

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Robert Brandon, 53, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at the Carington Health Center in Huntsville, Ala. A native of West Point and a former resident of Columbia, S.C., and Amelia Island, Fla., he had lived in Huntsville for the past 2 1/2 years. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in computer engineering. He was a supervisory computer engineer for NCR Corp. and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Annabel Johnson Brandon Fuqua and Boyd Brandon.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Survivors include two brothers, Larry Brandon and wife, Olivia, of Gurley, Ala., and James Brandon of Georgetown, Ky.; nieces and nephews, Amy and Christie Brandon, and Paul and Amy E. Williamson, all of Huntsville.

Pallbearers will be Don Johnson, Terry Johnson, Mike Smith and Paul Williamson.

Visitation will be from noon to service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 966, West Point MS 39773 or Alzheimer's Association of Mississippi, 5925 Galaxie Drive, Suite D, Jackson MS 39206.

Hi Vic,

Yes, it's very sad. Robert had Picks Disease, which is a rare, degenerative brain disease. Apparently it's a lot like Alsheimers, but it progresses more rapidly. He retired from NCR in 2000, and has been in a nursing home for a while now (I think a couple of years). I sent some Email to his brother with the picture of the E&M Orlando gang (the same picture I sent to Bill). His brother said that he occasionally would respont to names of people he knows, or pictures. I'm not sure if he responded to that, though. He was pretty far gone. This was probably about a year ago.

I hope you are well, and I'm sorry it's news like this that got us to correspond.

Regards, Jim

Hi Bill,

I hope all is well with you and the family. Sorry that my email is on a sad note. You may well remember Brian as he always had a bright smile and friendly word. I brought him into the Customer Engineering Training role about 1969 as an enthusiastic and eager novice. Within a few years he had matured into an experienced and hard driving professional. I don't know the cause of his death yet, I am trying to contact his sister. He was about 58.

Hello:

I just found your website re: DPI. My father, John Frieberg, passed away a year and a half ago. He was president of DPI for several years beginning in 1972. I worked as the receptionist at DPI the summer of 1977 and loved it. My family and I have wonderful memories of DPI.

I will check the webpage from time to time now that I'm familiar with it.

Thanks!

Karen

Dear Greg and Jean:

It's with the deepest of sorrows that I tell you that Barry passed away on Sunday, Oct 4 in Nepal. He had a heart attack. We are all still in a state of shock and are making preparation to have him returned to us. He was only there for 3 weeks beginning a new life as a lay missionary.

There is too much to try to explain at this time, but be assured that he died doing the work he wanted to do. No words can explain our grief at this time. Would you please be so kind to pass our information on to those at NCR that knew and loved Barry. If at all possible, I know that he was very good friends with Russ in Florida and please if you can pass this on to the Wicklines. Remember my kids in your prayers. Here are the kids' addresses if you would like them:

Scott and Julie Glover 1258 Maple Shade Lane, Charlotte, NC 28270

Michelle and Derek Smoot - 1122 L Royston Place, Bel Air, MD 21015

Arrangements are not complete pending his return, but we feel we will have a full military service as his father is requesting in Uniontown, Pa.

Love, Sharon

Hi Bill:

Just left a note on the page. My husband Will (Bill) Rodemann worked for DPI
1968-1969 and that is where we met Pete. Lo and behold when we needed
something for our computer a few years ago, (we live in Round Pond, ME) we
went "up town" about 8 miles to Damariscotta, and there was Pete, it was his
store. He later expanded and moved to the other side of town, and then in
'97 had a massive heart attack. Eventually his business was bought/absorbed
by our MidCoast Internet Connection. I don't know if his wife and daughter are
still around here; they were in the business with him.

Regards, Emily Rodemann
