Engineer's Keyring Release Level 1.2.4 This application consists of one runfile Keyring.Run Product Name : Engineer's Keyring Supported On : B24, B26, B27, B28, B38, B39, and all SuperGen hardware Supported OS : BTOS II, CTOS I, CTOS II, CTOS III Description : The Engineer's Keyring can clear the volume password of any writable LFS disk, encrypted or not. It can also display and print file, directory, and volume unencrypted passwords and all their corresponding protection levels. This is a potentially powerful utility easily abused in the wrong hands, so distribution with discretion is warranted. Directions/Use : The Engineer's Keyring uses six parameters to remove the password from a CTOS volume, If you run Keyring.run with Case DP all local file system passwords will be cleared immediately without confirmation: [LFS device list (* = all)] Enter the disk devices to work upon, such as "[d0]" or "d1 d2 f0", etc. or enter "*" for all LFS disk devices. If no parameter is entered no volume information will be displayed for any devices. [Suppress directory passwords?] By default Keyring will list directory passwords. To suppress the display of directory passwords, enter Yes. File list (for file passwords)] Specify a list of files to display file passwords, such as .user files. The default is no files. On protected files you must provide a volume or directory password in your default Path or by appending it to the file list specifications in the parameter (e.g. "*.user^password" ). [Print file] Sends an output copy to a specified file or printer queue. [Deactivate volume passwords?] Specify yes to wipe the volume passwords away until the volume is mounted again when you reboot or reinsert the floppy. This does not write to the disk but you can now use Change Volume Name without a password and reset one. [Confirm each deactivation?] If you enter Yes here, Keyring will prompt you to confirm each volume when you are wiping the volume passwords. Default is No. COMMAND /Engineers Keyring [LFS device list (* = all)] [Suppress directory passwords?] [File list (for file passwords)] [Print file] [Deactivate volume passwords?] [Confirm each deactivation?]
