SPE News Visits Good Morning America!

On June 19, 1998, the SPE News team (led by their producers, Mrs. Goldstein and Ms. Benet) were in the audience of a live broadcast of the ABC News morning program Good Morning, America.   Amy Grant was performing live in Central Park.  We got to meet Amy and the anchors, Lisa McRee and Kevin Newman (and don't forget Spencer Christian, the weatherman).  Afterwards we got to take a back-stage tour of the studio (both the Good Morning, America and the "World News Tonight" sets).

The SPE News team stands in the parking lot at Stony Point Elementary and screams "Hey!  Where's our bus?  It's 5:40 AM already!!!!"

Lisa came out and chatted with the SPE News team during a break.
Lisa McRee is listening to the floor manager yell "Lisa!  You've got to get in position" while she poses for a picture with the SPE News banner.

Amy Grant is in the center of the SPE news team while Kevin Newman gives us the thumbs up (probably so that the production staff knew that he wasn't sinking in an ocean of children).
