During last 15 years has been developed MFP algorithms for target detection and localization for:

• both the passive and active sonar,
• both the deterministic and stochastic ocean environments,
• both low frequency (modal approach) and high frequency (ray approach) cases,
• both discrete and continuous spectral processing techniques.

The algorithms differ from those algorithms developed by western researches. Actually the algorithms are studied numerically for applications in shallow water environments for which the particularity of coherent and interference fields forming are investigated.
