Well, other than the famous cartoon character, Road Runner was the first handle I ever used on the net. As I met more people and established world wide Cyber-relations, the name became known to many, so I decided to keep it....
I find we (Road Runner and I...) have a lot in common - we are both fast & clever...
( oh - did I mention MODEST?..... )My REAL name is AMI (pronounced AHMEE) and I was born in 1962.
I'm married to Michal, we have 2 beautiful sons named Tomer & Idan,
and we all live in Israel, just off Tel-Aviv in a city called Rishon-Le-Zion.

I am a software engineer, and I have worked at I.A.I - Israeli Aircraft Industries. for 8 years. I could tell you what I did there, but they'll have to shoot you afterwards... ;-D
After I left I.A.I , I worked for 16 months as a GUI TEAM LEADER at SAPIENS Technologies. I now work as a team-leader at TIDEX SYSTEMS , creating interactive video applications and enabling technologies.
I specialize in programming, graphics and controls, which are all subjects I have majored in at the 'Haifa Technion' for four long years....
Just before I entered the University, I finished a 4 year military service in the Israeli Air Force. I can only say that this service was anything one can hope for in a military service! Even today, when I reflect back and mention I actually ENJOYED my service, people give me that look , probably thinking: "the poor man lost it.... must be battle fatigue...." . Well, believe it or not - I DID! <wink>

My hobbies include Music (Playing,singing,listening...) , almost anything that has to do with computers ( strong emphasis on Internet lately...), graphics & animation (mostly computer generated). Cooking and experimenting with new recipes is also something I enjoy doing.
I simply adore animals, especially dogs. I had dogs in the house throughout my childhood, and the last one, a cocker spaniel, had died on me after being in the family for sixteen (16!) years.... I couldn't bring myself to get a new dog since then...

As I'm quite busy at work most of the time, and taking into account the fact that I do spend a lot of time with my wife and kids in the evenings and surfing the net late at night, I have little time to do all the rest of the things I like to do.... I guess this is one of the reasons my days are ones of 26 hours... (I get up two hours early.....)
