Info - Ethernet Cable Specification

I keep looking for this information on the web. I used to have a great link to a website with color diagrams, but it's gone to the bit-bucket.

This is a normal cable, when looked at from the bottom - the part with the gold showing, and no "plastic thing" on it. Both ends of the cable looks the same.

This is one end of a cross-over cable. The other end looks like the previous diagram.
