我昨天把newton中文化，依照次序裝了下列package Taiwan font NTEncoding
Big5 1.1 Lily Language Kit 再把taiwan locale以及tcim，還有注音跟唔蝦米裝上去
中文都沒問題，但是注音鍵盤看不到注音， 而兩種輸入法打出來的字都是方塊。
我把上述所有軟體都裝到internal store，不知道還有什麼要裝的？ 還是那裡出了問題呢？

shows Chinese characters correctly.
What a pitty is that it is an on-line reader.
I hope Mr. Lee's (Eureka) and Mr. Lin's Chinese patches can both be based
on the same Encoding engine
, either NTEncoding Big5 1.0 by Mr. Lin or NTEncoding Big5 1.1 by Mr. Lee
because the two seems to be uncompatable with each other.

要使用Ethernet card除了需要該卡的驅動程式外，還得要安裝Newton Internet
Enabler 2.0以及它裡面與乙太網路有關的組件。這樣您才可以在Internet Setup裡面看到有關乙太網路的設定訊息。
使用在下改寫的NewsReader在做Copy to Note時會出現"The notes application is not active!"訊息是因為您在啟動"NewsReader"之前Notes這個內建軟體您沒有把它打開，放在背景執行。換句話說，您的Notes並不是backdrop的狀態。
在您尚未訂閱任何新聞群組或是首次使用NewsReader時，它的畫面是空白的。當您利用它連上網路後，並且按下"Get News List"按鈕後，NewsReader就會去抓十個標題進來。這時候您就可以看到東西了。按下收進來的標題後，NewsReader又會去跟news server要內文。如果還要更多的標題，就再按下"Get News List"按鈕，就又會去抓十個新的標題進來。
另外，目前的NewsReader只能使用在下的轉碼引擎，所以，一定要先安裝在下的轉碼引擎。

要使用Ethernet card是不是一定要有for Newton的driver呢？ 我手上有一張3com的ethernet
card，但沒有for newton的driver。 插入後newton認得，但是internet setup裡面卻只有

林兄,I got the same situation after our gathering. The subjects are
all empty. When I tried tapping "Copy to Notes",there is a warning
message "The notes application is not active!". Is there something
wrong? I post a Chinese content message to tw.bbs.comp.pda last night.
Now here is my report: You have to do the encoding first. Choosing Eureka's
Big5 (MacOS String) for output, then copy to post. The procedure will work.
By the way, I use Ink Spot and registered last night. I found it is more
flexible when you go to Storage and you can file all the items among internal,
A flash card slot and B, so I abandom Newt's Paper and Paper Boy.

i-mail也有推出plugin開發工具，想要替i-mail寫一些好用的plugin，可以直接前往i-mail Plugin SDK說明網頁下載。

中文相容的news reader終於改寫好了，請大家到在下的軟體下載區去抓吧！目前是研發版，有許多不便的地方尚未解決，不過我會盡量改寫的，就請各位多包含了。

那個Newton Connection Kit很早以前就停產了，取代它的產品是Newton Connection
Utilities，簡稱NCU。NCU無法與MP110合作，如果讓NCU連上MP110，您就只能做資料備份，以便存到使用NOS
2.0的機器上面；但是您無法再利用NCU將資料回存到MP110上面。
目前很像買也買不到NCK了� 要弄，可能也有點難度。
MP110沒有辦法升級到Newton OS 2.0，但MP120可以。

從網路上抓下來的那個Draw模組得要再經過Package Type這個工具軟體修改，才能夠安裝到MP2000/2100上面。這個軟體在您抓取Draw模組的同一個網頁上抓到，並且也有說明。

英聯先生終於做出Newton用的Taipei中文字體了。這個字體顯示在LCD螢幕上是比較好看的。足字集，有興趣的快快去抓下來。
