Ok, I feel this entry is important in order to clear up views expressed in the past about "life" and everything else. Reflection... the time where we stop flowing with the river and sit on the shore to think. This is where deep thought occurs, of the philosophical kind. The river represents the constant motion of day-to-day life where there is no time to forget all that is happening and simply clear the mind. Life in general has become this: There is no more concept of an ultimate ending of life. It is useless to consider the 'meaninglessness' of a life that ends in erasure of memory at death. Life should be cherished day by day as others have said. Whatever makes you happy, that's what your eternal conquest shall be. I believe that some spend perhaps a little too much time thinking, and that a life lived in naivety will always prove more rewarding that one in constant questioning. On this note I shall return to the river, but I will not forget to take a break on a sandy beach every once in a while. February 12, 2000 |
