http://www.stoupak.com/Letters2/EN001228.TXT ---------------------------------------------------- Yuri Stupak, 28dec2000, "T0 Wh0m It May C0ncern". ---------------------------------------------------- My adventures in the second half of 2000 follow: 1. I've got insurance "liability for my two cars only" for less than $90 per month - a VERY good deal for me yet. I drive daily 50 miles to work and back (-: with 1-2-3 Indian contractors for carpooling & being a nice guy :-) First five items from previous semi year were about my problems with cars and taxes - it looks I don't have transparent enough problems with both of them anymore. 2. EdgeNet decided to make the next version of network on the Trillium's software base. Four our programmers (included myself) attended Trillium weekly course in LA in July 2000. After that Trillium was purchased by Intel. 3. I haven't changed my 2bedroom/2bath apartments this semi year also. Rent was increased from $1158 to $1307. 4. I purchased hub (1+4 PC), motherboard 133Mhz, P III-667, 128 Mbytes memory, DVDrom, videocard with TV, ATX case and assembled new PC with 10 Gbytes drive. Old PC with 3Gbytes drive is intended for Linux; I disassembled PC-486 completely. We have got 2nd permanent IP addresses and switch with hub now. 5. This semi year I've been doing ProC interface functions using "VC++ with ProC" on WinNT as my development platform and "gnu C with ProC" on Sun Solaris as a deployment platform. I have made about 7000 lines since Sep2000... not too much. 6. EdgeNet started to use me like "guinea pig" for its Green Card processing studying. They filed me LC in a wrong way (non-RIR) and now start to do it in "RIR" - from the very beginning :-( advertising in San Francisco Chronicle ... )-: 7. December 13, 2000 was one year since I worked in EdgeNet - therefore I've got first quarter of my EdgeNet shares (I paid some cents for each and declared this purchase to IRS). 8. I made 90000 miles maintenance on my Ford (with a lot of postponed repairs). I also changed all Ford tires and made all my postponed repair on Chevy ("right boot" included). Tomorrow (on Friday 12/29/1999) I should get my old Chevy with fixed right rear wheel (a nail's hole as I was told).
