The world's most fantastic speaker series. From left: The Klipschorn, LaScala, Heresy and the Klipsch Belle. Proportions are not correct. The "Horn" is larger, the Heresy smaller. We imported the Klipschorn mainly with walnut cabinets, but also a few unfinished and cherry versions. Price difference to the consumer was quite substantial. The Klipsch cabinets was wonderful craftmanship. Also, "our" Heresys did not have bases. We were rather surprised when we discovered that the Heresys had no damping material inside the cabinets.

My favourite Home Cinema system would consist of Klipschorns as the stereo pair, LaBelle in the center (it can support anything - large-size TV's or projectors) and Heresys in the rear. McIntosh for amplification, of course. So what's missing? The Cornwall!

Early Klipsch speaker - supposedly no. 14!

From the outset the "Horn" was designed as a two-way system. Only later was a high-frequency driver added. Above sample is said to be production unit no. 14! The Louvre doors might not be original, but this exact unit was maybe the first real Klipsch production model. Up to then an independent speaker manufacturer had done the furniture work for Klipsch. They found the work too intricate and opted out! The dividing network can be seen on top of the midrange horn. According to the owner of this speaker - it weighs a ton! The dividing network, that is.
