Computers
Grades 10-12 10 credits
Prerequisite: Computer Technology with grade of
C or better
Hands-on learning to create advanced
word processing, spreadsheet, and database operation
projects. Also, computer science and introductory
programming concepts are taught.
Visual Basic
Programming Grades
10-12 10 credits Prerequisite: Computer Technology with
grade of C or better
Course emphasizes application,
event-driven, and programming software techniques. Students
design, document, code, test, and debug program
projects.
C
Programming Grades
11-12 10 credits Prerequisite: Visual Basic Programming with
grade of C or better
Introduction to the C/C++ programming
language. Topics include top-down design, control structures
and flow control, variables, constants, functions,
arguments, data structures, library usage, and intro to
objects.
Web Design and
Development Grades
10-12 10 credits Prerequisite: Computer Technology with
grade of C or better
Students learn about Web page
historical background, artistic layout and design elements,
current technological practices including HTML and FrontPage
programming skills, and how to develop and create both
functional and aesthetically pleasing professional Web
pages.
Accounting
Grades 10-12 10 credits
Prerequisites: Computer Technology and Algebra I
Course emphasizes basic accounting
principles, the accounting cycle, how to prepare financial
statements, payroll and tax records. Manual accounting
practices are emphasized along with hands-on experience with
an automated accounting system.
Business
Finance Grade 12 10

Students learn to apply math skills to
real life personal and business financial
situations.
Marketing
Grade 10-12 10 credits
Prerequisite: Computer Technology
Course focuses on marketing functions
and foundations and their relationship to the competitive
enterprise system in which students live.
Business
Law Grades 11- 12 10
credits Prerequisite: English 10 with grade of C" or
better
Study the origin of law, court
procedures, and citizens rights pertaining to laws
governing business.
Technical
Communications Grades 10-12
10 Credits Prerequisite: None
Acquire necessary skills to accomplish
effective presentations. Use study of different types of
communications in mock interviews and class
presentations.
