This should be a short section because I have yet to change the batteries :-). In any case, the batteries are held in place by a round cover at the bottom face of the watch, which has a grove running through its diameter, large enough for inserting the edge of a quarter to twist the cover open.
Timex Datalink users are probably turning green with envy at how easy it is to change batteries with the onHand PC (without invoking the aid of a c-clamp), but then again, Timex Datalink users don't have to change batteries every 4 months or less, either.
