It's almost like everyone is jealous and they want us to assimilate

I think everyone is born with a free choice. There is nothing bad
from using either platform. I prefer the Mac for its precision when
it comes to graphics, images, video, sound and layout. I'm, in fact,
doing the layout for two publications and all the so tware I use runs
much better and smoother on the Mac. I recently upgraded my Photoshop
to version 5 and was a bit surprised to notice in the Usr Guide on
how many occasions some of the functions were not available for
Windows due to the inherent weakness of the the OS for when it comes
to color management. Another example is ColorSync and how important
it is for publication companies. The Microsoft equivalent ICM is just
ridiculous. The one thing that could be better on the PCs is the
integration of TCP/IP and pre-emptive multitasking but system 8.5
would probably remedy the situation. And even if this does not
happen, my G3 is so fast that I don't even notice.

and mac, then learn how to allocate ram to both indows and mac, and

rid of it and be happy using your windows machine. don't waste

Use my PowerPC at home, but am pretty comfortable with both
platforms. Basically, I prefer the Mac for its simplicity of use, but
I'm not rabid about it. However, it's hard to give any credibility to
anyone who writes the garbage that I've been reading fr m some of
your respondents on BOTH sides of the Mac VS. PC wars. Pretty
pathetic.

What a sorry little website this is! I enjoy looking at the FEW Pro
PC sites there are though... It's hard to find people who defend
mediocre crap, but I guess If I looked hard enough on the net I could
find a "Hugos Rule... BMW's SUCK" page too, with all the 'facts' on
how a Hugo can kick a Beemer's ass because they are just so damend
great. Yeah..okay..whatever. And just one thing.. I know some (not
ALL) of you PC people are a little dense, but it REALLY bugs me how
you people get confused by the Mac's f oppy drive! C'mon people!
LEARN how to use things! What's up with that!? That's very sad! I'm
reading the little section where some putz is talking about getting
confused by the dick's icon appearing on the desktop and then having
to stick a paper clip in o his office Mac's drive to eject the
disk,(!?!) and I'm thinking to myself DO companies really hire such
retards to do REAL WORK? Pretty sad! Come to think of it, we do have
some retards working in the office I work in that COULD possibly be
confused by uch things as disk icons and car headlights in the road,
but we give them MOPS and BROOMS not computers.

Macintosh users have got to be the most annoying of any type of
computer user. Acorn, Atari, Amiga users all get on with PC users
without constantly trying to put down each others computer, but Mac
users are incapable. They seem to think that Macintosh s the most
superior computer in the world, that it has been, and always will be.
They also insist that anything that anyone else does with their GUI
is a direct rip-off from MacOS, which is usually complete bullshit.
They also go on about how great Macs are for graphics. In fact, that
is all they ever go on about. It may have been true at one time, but
no way is it true now. PC users (if they are interested in graphics)
can get themselves a decent graphics card and beat the Mac in any
graphics test. ost PC users (and mac users, for that matter) don't
need anything wonderful on their screens. I'm running a 1mb, 64-bit
generic video adapter, and its always done what I want it to. The
cost of Macintoshes is appalling. They are sooooo expensive. Mac sers
often justify this by saying it is because the parts are so much more
expensive and therefore less likely to break down. BULLSHIT!!!! The
Iomega Zip drive is abuot £50 more expensive for a SCSI Mac
version than it is for a SCSI PC version. Does Io ega use better
components in the Mac version, just because it is for a Mac. I very
much doubt it. Mac users also go on about how much more reliable Macs
are. A Mac user I know once said (trying to back up the price/quality
of components arguement) "Why does your PC always have problems
then!?". Well, thats because PC users are more intelligent, more
curious, and tend to play with the insides of their computers more,
for various reasons. My computer has "gone down" 3 times in the last
18 months, and ev rytime because I put something in backwards (which
was corrected by putting it in the right way), or tried to overclock
it (putting the speed back down fixed it, or trying to improve the OS
by editing the registry (restoring from a backup fixed it). An A
ple's attitude to marketing is SHIT to say the least. They go on
about "Think Different" and how crap the PC is. Do Intel, IBM,
Microsoft, etc, advertising go on about how shit Macintoshes and
MacOS is. No, they point out the good bits about their chip ,
software, etc. Why does Apple slander everyone else instead of
highlighting the good points of their hardware and software? Because
there are no good bits. Mac users just listen to the slander thought
up by highly paid "spin doctors" (just like a pol tical party!!) and
get it into their thick heads that PC is crap, so they should be
buying a Macintosh instead. Mac users often go on about the monopoly
that PC oriented companies like Microsoft have. Excuse me!!!! But
what if Apple is the only one all wed to make Macintoshes and sell
the MacOS (that comes pre-installed on them) is that not a monopoly.
I could go on for hours. But I won't Bye For Now....from dave

Hey Geocities neighbor! Cool web page! It is amazing to me how many
foolish individuals still flock to the Macintosh. This platform has
been inferior to the PC ever since Windows 3.1 debuted in 1992! Apple
knowingly lies to its users concerning the G3 versus the Pentiums.
The PCs that Byte Magazine raced against the Mac where Compaq
computers. The Compaq they choose was very clever in that it was a
model that used a EISA bus (33 MHz) for memory and g aphics. The Mac
used has a 66 MHz bus. It is only expected that the PC would transfer
data slower. Well, now that the PC has a 133MHz AGP bus, the Pentium
beats the Mac by a factor of 2 to 1. That's right: a 200MHz Pentium
easily beats the 300MHz PowerPC. This is why Byte Magazine hasn't
raced the machines as of late. The only benchmark tested was simple
integer math: 1+1+1+1+1 ... RISC architecture allows the computer to
be a good calculator, but a poor computer on all other types of
mathematics - especially floating point. Oh well. I've been a
programmer ever since I received a Commodore 64 in 1986. Last year I
finally received a degree in computer science and now I'm a grad
student. Woo hoo! Well, it is simple fact that over 99% of computer
programmers (those who understand the det ils of computers) are
Windows users. Geez, I wonder why? :) I think that is enough flaming

Macs kick assssss! Even the g3/266 was faster than the fastest
pentium II. Macs have less problems and are very reliable. some may
be expensive however they are just plain better. MACS
