Who am I? I was born in England in 1802 and died in 1875. I am a physicist and with another of my colleagues Sir William Cooke invented, or at the very least made practical, the worlds first electrical telegraph, after which Samuel Morse devised the Morse code which made the telegraph practical. As a professor at Kings College London I invented a revolving mirror that accurately measures that the speed of electricity in a conductor, with further experimentation the apparatus was able to accurately measure the speed of light. Among my other achievements is the Playfair cipher, a device for substituting paired letters in coded messages. The Wheatstone bridge a devise for measuring electrical resistance. The stereoscope for viewing X-rays and aerial photographs and the use of electromagnets in electrical generators, are just a few of my many achievements.
This one is dead easy, read the clues again before you go to the back where as usual is the answer.

Up to now, the small station used in Melbourne was to week to provide a good service anywhere outside the city. It has been ascertained that the speeches and music were "picked up" in Sydney, Auckland and California. Victoria now has a service second to none in the Commonwealth.
