NOTHING PERSONAL
what does INTEL really mean?
intelligence maybe.
What an insult is their new technology to such a victorious name,
their PENTIUM CELERON.
My cousin have bought one a celeron with 266mhz of processor,
it was brought in with other parts, everything was dismantled. They hired
a technician, actually her professor to assemble the parts. Through my
extreme curiosity I ran down the stairs to take a look at the bare processor
, surpringly I found a card with absolutely no protective coating.
It was not a sound card for a big chip was embedded. I have my silly
doubts, is it a megahyper video card? Nah, yes atlast to my utmost
observation,it was a mishandled celeron processor. With that in mind
I almost dropped it in fear of static electricity.
great so it's ugly, who cares? The performance?
The next day came and I went down to look as the computer 'professor'
(I don't really know how he came to be one when all college comp
addicts I've met are twice as good) assembles the parts.
He is quite cool (his best asset, though sarcastic at times), smiling
at every mistake he makes.
After I suggested some asssembling 'basics' he was obviously insulted
and ask me if I know "What does celeron means?",I said no without hesitation
when my cousin ask him the same question he answered illogically with
"It is the first pentium II design of intel".Though I do not know the answer
absolutely I will never ever retort that way.
With my "higher" knowledge of computers I was much insulted.
Later Mr.Chips told me that everything the prof told me were
kwentong barbero sa kanto or story telling a lie. Do your own research
and you'll find out.(the best reasearch would be sitting in our main page)
where are we?(revenge)
ok so celeron is faster a number of times than my 586 133mhz processor.
It takes about 30 minutes in installing windows98, though that I credit
more to the harddrive. The thing is with Mr.Chips' K5 133 processor,
the celeron (which means FAST) CPU doesn't go twice faster.
K5 is AMD's OBSOLETE cpu(my 586 is a part of ancient history) and
their k6 series are outrunning this cheap hunk(AMD cpu's are almost always
25% cheaper in price, but was almost always better in quality).
If K6 outruns the celeron, tell me what K6II's gonna do.
HE'LL SLEEP HE'LL CRAWL, but will always leave poor
celeron miles behind.
