Overview
~~~~~~~~
BrainChk is based on a game I used to play
when I was young with a standard deck of
cards. It is one of those really simple
(additive) games.
The aim of the game is to use standard
mathamatical operations on the top row of
cards to arrive at the value on the lower
card. You must use all of the cards, else
its too easy.
For example, for the puzzle
"3, 16, 7, 14, 7 ==> 15"
there are many solutions like:
"3 - (16-14) + 7 + 7 = 15"
or
"(16 + 14) / (3 - (7/7)) = 15"
and so on.
The game is best played against another
human but you can play against the
computer. The computer is not very clever
so you should win on all the easy ones,
the computer gets the edge on the more
difficult puzzles that require
multiplication and division.
Registration and License
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The program is slightly disabled when
unregistered it will after 30 days
gradually reduce the ratio of solutions
displayed from 100% down to 10% (after
60 days).
Once you send in the money with a
user-name of your choosing, a registration
key will be returned. Enter your user-name
and the registration yet exactly as
returned to you.
All the registrations are handled by
ShareIt! They offer registration by post,
phone, fax, e-mail or web.

upgrades will be ad-hoc and available on the

I do not undertake to despatch upgrades to
all registered users.

automatically, so you don't have to.
· Bug reports: Well who's perfect.

Version, OS, processor (Intel/AMD etc),
current puzzle and a saved deck
if possible.
· PC difficult puzzles: Please send me
puzzles that the program can't solve.
· Person difficult puzzles: I haven't
found any impossible puzzles yet,
although some have taken hours to
solve. If there is sufficient
interest I may even set-up a web page
and fill it with difficult decks.

ONE TIME. THIS LICENSE TO USE THE SOFTWARE IS CONDITIONED
UPON YOUR COMPLIANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. YOU AGREE YOU
WILL ONLY COPY THE SOFTWARE INTO ANY MACHINE-READABLE OR PRINTED FORM
AS NECESSARY TO USE IT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS LICENSE OR FOR BACKUP
PURPOSES IN SUPPORT OF YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. THIS LICENSE
IS EFFECTIVE UNTIL TERMINATED. YOU MAY TERMINATE IT AT ANY POINT BY
DESTROYING THE SOFTWARE TOGETHER WITH ALL COPIES OF THE SOFTWARE.

2. REVERSE ENGINEERING. YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO REVERSE
COMPILE, MODIFY, TRANSLATE, OR DISASSEMBLE THE SOFTWARE IN WHOLE OR
IN PART.
3. IGNORAMOS SOFTWARE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE IS ERROR FREE.
IGNORAMOS SOFTWARE DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES WITH
RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS.
