Just curious - how long does it take you to respond to email normally?
I had almost given up hope.

Nope, no group. Solo, or not at all. Can you tell me something about
yourself? Role-playing experience is most important - how long have
you been playing, what styles, what systems, what you like and don't
like - but if there are any personal "hot buttons" I shouldn't touch
on, that would be good to know up front, since I don't know you
personally. For example, if you are sensitive about political issues,
I can avoid corrupt politician scenarios. Your age and profession
might be important as well, for the same reasons.

The first it is, then, just for that reason. Hey, I've got to create
the rest of the world, I don't need to create your character too! :-)

Don't worry, there will be plenty of that in the game play. I like
mysteries, hope you do too.

Interesting. If you don't mind, the city will be Boston. That's where
I live, and it will be easier for me to set up scenarios there. If you
don't know it, so much the better - it will be new to your character,
after all. But take a look at maps of Boston on the World Wide Web.

I hope she has a reason to fight crime - I don't want this to be an
entirely defensive game, Chetax versus the Government Agents, and
innocent bystanders better get out of the way.

Sensual, huh? How sensual? As I mentioned, I won't go much farther
than, say, your standard James Bond movie...
What do you mean "stationed"? Is she still working for someone?
Does she have any memory of a human family or relatives?

In your stats math, consider defense as well as offense. What will
happen if Chetax is shot at by your standard Army grunt, SPD 2, DEX
11, +1 skill level, 1 1/2d6 Killing Damage Autofire rifle? Chetax
should be designed that this is not *too* big a problem - but from the
description, she probably should not be able to bounce all those
bullets off of her chest, either.

Please include notes on her personality and especially her history in
your next email, with her stats. Anything you don't specify, I will
feel free to specify! So, for example, if you want the engineer to be
madly in love with her, specify as much, or you might be surprised to
find him devoted to his wife, dog, station wagon, and 2.5 kids!

Also include notes on "what happened yesterday", that is, exactly at
what point in this history we are at now. Has Chetax fought any normal
crooks yet? Super-villains? Govt agents? Gotten in the newspapers
yet?

Assume the world is a "toned-down" version of the Marvel or standard
Champions world. In other words, there are no Superman or Green
Lantern level heroes that can push planets around, or destroy cities
with a single muscle movement (or at least as far as you know). There
are super heroes, but world governments, armies, are generally seen as
more powerful. Heroes are more on the power level of Spiderman,
Batman, Daredevil (I hope Chetax is designed on 100 points +
disads!). Supers are also rare - about one in a million in the USA, so
about 250 of them in the whole country (though they travel a lot more
than your average Joe, so just because Boston has about 10 Million
people, doesn't mean you will only be seeing the same 9 other supers
all the time). The USA has a higher than average proportional number
of heroes for the world. World history is basically as you know it -
heroes fought in wars on each side since World War Two, but didn't
change the outcome of major events.

Try to make up as little "extra to the real world" as possible - for
example, your secret Govt Agency doesn't need to be SHIELD or PRIMUS,
the good old Department of Defense Intelligence Agency, or CIA, works
fine. If you absolutely need to specify a super-villain, or team, to
be Hunted by, for example, that's OK.

If you answer all my questions, and specify enough, my next email
(Monday?) will contain your first turn!

I'm 28, and told about my gaming history before. My personal web page
is in my signature.

Heh. This is a game, this is only a game, if I ever forget that,
please hit me upside the head with a wet fish. There are generally
plenty of other topics to build a scenario around without offending
anyone. It takes real effort to find a large enough, sensitive enough,
group of players so that any topic will offend someone. With a solo...

I'm agnostic, which means different things to different people, but to
me means "whatever anyone else believes is OK". Will leave out modern
religions. How about magic, the undead, or ancient religions (Thor,
Isis, Cthulhu, etc.)? Any of those bother you?

More power to you.

OK, I will help with the mechanics, fix any mathematical or apparent
conceptual errors, and walk you through the combat turn sequence as
these things come up. You do have the rules, right? Hero System
Ruslebook, or Champions Big Blue Book? Champions is really two games
in one; the character design can be considered a game in itself, and
when the character is generated, the reasonable skill system and
combat maneuvers make the actual play of the character interesting as
well.

> 100pts + 150 disads (250 total) is that ok?

250 points is fine. With that, you should have enough points to juggle
cars ... but yet not enough to juggle mountains.

I will usually only be able to respond to email on weekdays, not
weekends. Hope that's OK.
