NUON in the News Several new stories have recently surfaced on VM Labs' relatively un-hyped next-generation videogame
console and DVD player, NUON. There is a story titled
New NUON Information at Daily Radar, as well as a small story in the March issue of NextGen Magazine.
NUON,
as you probably know, is a DVD enhancement technology developed by VM Labs, including a host of former Atari employees.
The technology enhances DVD by enabling ultra-smooth scanning in both forward and reverse,
and the most powerful viewer-controlled selective zoom with incredible clarity and effortless panning to pinpoint the
portion of the scene you really want to see. Add to that the ability to
play custom games. Games will include Tempest 3000 by
Jeff Minter, as well as an updated Virtual Light Machine.
"The all-in-one DVD entertainment center for the whole family to enjoy is now a reality because of
the NUON technology. NUON's compelling features will
achieve mass market appeal and help drive sales for the overall DVD platform over the next few
years."
- Richard Miller, VM Labs CEO.
