In 1977, Atari released Ultra Pong Doubles, model C-402, in order to continue cashing in on the popularity of Pong.
Ultra Pong Doubles featured four corded controllers and a variety of game variations.
The sixteen game variations were: Pong, Super Pong, Hyper Pong, Ultra Pong,
Hockey, Super Hockey, Hyper Hockey, Ultra Hockey, Barrier Pong, Super Barrier Pong, Hyper Barrier Pong,
Barrier Hockey, Super Barrier Hockey, Hyper Barrier Hockey, and Ultra Barrier Hockey.
Ultra Pong Doubles would be the last Pong style stand alone released by Atari.
In 1978 Atari would release the Video Computer System (2600) that could play a virtually
unlimited variety of games using removable cartridges.
