Welcome To How do I download the free UK Internet Access software?Help/FAQ
Go to my GO page to download the go.exe file. When prompted, choose Save rather than Open or Run from this location. Using the file window, select a place on your hard drive or floppy disk, to copy the file to. It should take only a couple of minutes to transfer. When the download has finished, just double click on the go.exe file to run the program and follow the onscreen instructions.
How much will it cost me?Nothing to me. The only charges are for the cost of your telephone calls when you are accessing the Net or email. The dial up number is a local call number, so the costs are equivalent to having a conversation with someone down your street or across the other side of town. I receive no money whatsoever from Ecosse.net who are the service providers.
Do I have to sign up or log on?No.
Will it alter my existing connection? No.
Will it customise my Browser?No.
How do I change it from being my default connection? When you click on a link or put in a web address before you are connected, you get the "Do you want to Connect" window. Here there is a button called "Settings". Click this and you will see that Grey Olltwit is highlighted as being the default. Simply choose another connection and click the "Set as default" button. Alternatively go into the Control Panel (Start button, Settings) and double click Internet Options. Click the Connections tab for the same Window.
How do I remove the GO connection?Double click "My Computer" on your desktop. Double click "Dial Up Networking". You will see the Grey Olltwit file there. Drag it to the Recylce bin or right click on it and choose delete. Next go to the Control Panel (see above) and double click Add/Remove Programs. Find Grey Olltwit's Free Internet Access in the list and double click to remove.
