So that I can
once again fly .......
Sitting on the
River's edge,
And watching driftwood passing by
Seeing my reflection in my mind,
And wondering if it's a lie.
Walking down a dark,
lonely street,
Early one morning at five'o'clock
Waiting for the Sun to rise,
And show me the way around the block.
Precariously perched
on a Mountain ledge,
And staring up at that sheer vertical rockface
Feeling, searching for footholds,
And thinking of a warm, far away place.
Staring out of the
window on a rainy day,
And wondering if Life's taken me for a ride
Listening to the Wind howl and scream,
And waiting for the Storm to subside.
Lying on my bed on a
cold dark night,
And wondering how dreams fade and die
Waiting for an unseen hand to appear,
And untie these knots so I can once again fly.
