Download the screens

The files have been renamed to have a .bmp extension. That way you can work with them best if you're unsure you want to use them.

To use them rename them to have a .sys extension. If you don't know how to do it look furhter down the page.

What to do with the files after unzipping and downloading

After you download the file, unzip it (using WinZip or a similar product). The files will be simple, everyday windows bitmaps, with a .bmp extension. If you want to use them procede like this:

  1. Backup the original logo files. This is not necessary but highly recommended
  2. Move the files to the apropriate directory (root directory for logo.bmp; windows directory for other files)
  3. Delete the old logo files
  4. Change the .bmp extension to .sys

Renaming a file and changing its extension

  1. Open any Explorer Window
  2. Open the OPTIONS box on the VIEW dropdown menu. Uncheck the "Hide extension for registerd files" box.
  3. Right click on the file whose name you want to change and choose "CHANGE NAME" (what else).
  4. Change the file's name. Click OK on the confirmation box.
  5. If you renamed the file to a .sys extension it might disappear (If the setting are for hiding system files).
  6. Return your option to their usual state.

If you found you couldn't follow the instructions, get a more user friendly computer, pay more to get better, buy an Apple computer.
