Appearance: Phyden, though young, is a large and stockily-built rukel with thick, springy fur. His main body fur is black, but his mane and tail plume are a deep blue color. His eyes are a lighter, teal shade. Very unusual among rukels, he has not one, not two, but three pairs of black-feathered wings, allowing him to do all sorts of aerial tricks. Just don't ask him how he manages to keep all of them untangled.
Personality: Brash and hard-headed, Phyden knows what he wants and doesn't like anyone to get in the way of that. He gets angry easily, especially when people make fun of him or his friends, and he also tends to be protective of Teylet. He's extremely stubborn, it takes a lot to change his mind.

Appearance: A rarity indeed, Teylet looks like a cross between a normal rukel and a butterfly! For a rukel, she's tiny, barely a foot long, (not including the tails) and very lightly built. Her fur is short and smooth, with a silky feeling to it. While most of her body is a deep, reddish-orange, her mane and belly-fur are black, the same shade as the markings on her wings. Her butterfly-like fairy wings are a paler orange, decorated with black markings. Her tail splits in two, and each end has a butterfly-like appendage on the tip. Her eyes are dark blue, and she also has a set of antennae.
Personality: Good-natured and a little shy, Teylet is a very sweet and kind rukel, matching her fairy-like appearance. She's also rather timid and liable to let people walk all over her (though thankfully not literally!) if no one is around to stand up for her. She's very caring and helpful, she likes to help others and she's eager-to-please.
