The set for "The Accidental Tourist" started with an eleven day Europe-trip; In London they filmed for example in the Holborn Underground Station with it's long steep escalators, the Westminsterbridge at Big Ben, the parlament and Paddington Rail Station, where hundrends of passangers didn't notice the filmcrew taking shots in the busy morning.

After London, the team turned to Paris, where they shoot at the Place des Paramides and in frond of the Burger King at Champs Elysées. Unfortunatly the queen of danmark visited Paris same time and went for a sign-seeing trip, so the visit in Paris lasted one day longer.
All other outside-shots were taken in Baltimore, mostly in Roland Park.

"The Accidental Tourist" was William Hurt's third work with director Lawrence Kasdan after Body Heat and The Bid Chill.
