It was reported that Steven Spielberg very much wanted you to play Harry Potter. Was it disappointing not to do it, and secondly, you are doing A.I. with him and if you could tell us a little about it.

Well, "Harry Potter", we never were really interested in. It never crossed the desk with us. Myself, I thought [that] it should've stayed a book. I never would've wanted to do the film. It's a great book and 70% of the book is your own imagination, putting in where the author purposely leaves the gaps so kids can put in their own input. I think that's one of the most brilliant parts of the novel. When the movie comes out, it's going to be a stereotype for people.
With "A.I.", we'll just see. I can't really tell anything about it. I am working on it right now and we're about halfway through shooting. But we really aren't allowed to say anything about it. Do you still get starstruck, or is it just another day at the office? |  |

How did you get into acting?
I decided to do it because of dad (actor Michael Osment). I had always been real interested, sitting on the living room floor watching "The Little Mermaid" every day. When I found out dad was an actor and I was old enough to understand the concept of everything, I wanted to do it. When I was 5-years-old I got the chance. |
| What is 'A.I.' about?
It's a bit of a secret right now. Can't tell me? No, but I will be doing another film in Poland in late spring. It's an independent film about World War II. It should be a good role. |  |
