Ages: 77 and 73. Status: Retired, but still inventing.
Prof. Frink and his wife have lived in Springfield all their lives, inventing all sorts of gadgets and doohickeys. They do it because they think the object might be useful some day, but mostly because they're bored. They originally had a toddler son, Dwayne, but he disappeared in a tragic accident at a local Baby Expo. Distraught, the two were without children for well over a decade. Then, late in life, the couple decided to try once more, and had another son, Jason.
Jason C. Frink
Age: 20. Status: Student at Springfield University.
Jason Frink is the (presumed) only child of the scientist couple the Frinks. However, he is very unscientific. While he is extremely clever and intelligent, he doesn't have much of an aptitude for science. Instead, he is gifted in music, which is his main interest in life. A college sophomore, Jason is planning of majoring in Music, though he's not sure what area yet. His instruments of choice are keyboards/piano and guitar. He recently discovered the dusty old room that houses the old college radio station, WXYAP, and is petitioning to have it reopened and put on the air again.
Personality wise, Jason is very independent. He loves things that are bizarre and out of the ordinary, and is into "Underground" movies, music, etc. He shares a dormitory with his best friend, Mike Skinner, who is almost his opposite in personality, but who also loves music. He can be head-strong and sarcastic at times, but is generally a very nice guy. Much to his distaste, he shares one characteristic with his dad: Whenever he is excited or anxious, he will let out an occasional "Ng-hey" and/or "glavin". He can't control it, and he is afraid he will turn into a 'geek' like his dad.
