PDP Biography
Part I - Physical -
Used to do Sprinting
and Long Distance running.
Soccer was my favorite sport,
but I always longed to do Wrestling...
Near the end of high school I did some Judo,
and finally got to do some Wrestling at
University (that's why I went to SFU!).
The wrestling coach said I was scrawny and weak and so, saying, "I'll show you!"
I applied what I knew about body building etc. and instead of focusing on speed
and endurance began workouts focused on power, dynamic strength, awareness,
and ultimate fighting... Within a year I was quite buff and still had lots of speed, too.
Highlights a few years later include learning
Swing dancing and joining Cheerleading
(still wrestling on the side for fun).
"Is it all just vanity?"
I decided that these special skills help me to be a better role model etc.
Lately I don't wrestle or go dancing often
(Oh, how I love swing dancing!)
but I'm still Cheerleading :)
Part II - little narrative about me -
There once was a little boy who was very naughty,
he was energetic, definitely a handful for his teachers -
perhaps ADHD - What a trouble-maker in the classroom!
...
"I am thankful for having a wonderful mother and righteous father.
"I am thankful for Army Cadets; there I learned discipline and integrity.
The government's plan to invest in the future, their youth, worked in my case.
"I am thankful to have discovered the joy of learning in my own free time through
good books such as those by Dale Carnegie, Norman Vincent Peale, and Leo Buscaglia.
Such books cultivated a an addiction to learning in me. I began trying to use every ounce of
free time to learn more or improve myself. This attitude continued through my university career,
but I admit that at times my school work suffered as a result; often I felt that what I was learning on
the side was more important than what was being studied in class and more important than a good grade.
"I am thankful that I opened myself up to the possibility that university offers more opportunities than just classes -
my experience really blossomed when I opened my heart and eyes and began to look for something more on campus.
"I find myself filled with thankfulness as I look at the path my life has taken and see the many ways in which I have changed.
My energy has become positively focused. My heart is set on what will benefit humanity. In all this, and above all this, I thank God."
Education, in its effect upon the tree of humanity, is like the water and sun. Our goal: that all may partake of the fruits a new civilization.
