DOWNLOAD:  20 YEARS - LIVE AT MONASH UNI, CAULFIELD 23/5/01

5/11/01:
To celebrate the release of the new Something for Kate single '20 years', a live mp3 has been put up and has replaced the old 3dimensions. This mp3 was recorded at the corner hotel on the mythology tour & really shows what they can do with this track as a live one. Also there are two new articles up, one from a brisbane newspaper, the other from an inflight magazine (the airline i am unsure of), but there's a really good picture of paul in that one so do check it out. happy hunting :) and there's also a photo of paul at black box last year.

Yes, finally another update. It's been a while i know, but i'm gonna now try to update on a weekly basis. My trading list has been updated, there's some more John Smith lyrics and i've added a review of the sfk/powderfinger show that i went to. If anyone else has any reviews or anything interesting that i can put up that's sfk related then plz e-mail (pappo22@hotmail.com). There's also some more links up as well. And if you haven't downloaded 3dimensions yet then please do as i will be changing the mp3 shortly to celebrate the release of '20years' which is out nov. 5th.

The Live at the wireless that Something For Kate recorded a couple of weeks ago will air THIS MONDAY on JJJ at 9pm (July 30th) and will be repeated on sunday 5th August (at 4pm). Also i'll give everyone an advanced warning that i'll be alternating mp3s on August 6th (to co-incide with the release of 3 Dimensions), so if u haven't downloaded the mp3 above then do it now (because it will be changed in a little while).

13/07/01:
Not that many updates today. Just added up lyrics from 'John Smith', there's only one song from their demo tape up there (the others were too hard for me to translate), but definitely worth a look, Paul's sister Louise wrote them and they're good stuff. Also another link has been added today to the site Coloured Chalk.

10/07/01:
I understand that some things on this site weren't supposed to be here, I apologise to those concerned. These things are now gone and won't see the light of day until the new single 3Dimensions is on the shelves.  I am sorry for any inconvienced i caused while these things were up on the site.

9/07/01:
Lots of updates today. Firstly some new photos (from the Zoo mythology show in may), courtesy of photographer Louise Nutt. She's got an online gallery of her photos which is definitely worth checking out, you can view her work by clicking here.  Also another magazine article has been posted from one of the free melbourne newspapers - Express. More 7"s are on the way, as well as some exclusive lyrics too. That's about it for now, if u haven't already downloaded the 3dimensions mp3 then please do.  cheers.

Some exciting news :) To celebrate the release of Something for Kate's new single '3 Dimensions' (which is out on the 6th August), Sit Down The Stand Up is proud to present the mp3:
3DIMENSIONS - LIVE AT THE CORNER HOTEL (2/6/01)

This was taken from the recent u18s show at the corner hotel on the mythology tour. It features a rendition of space invaders before they start the song.. highly enjoyable :) just click on the link above or the three dimensions cover and start downloadin and enjoying the antics of Paul, Simon and Pip :) Also two new reviews have been added, one from Time Off Mag and the other from an earlier Beat issue.  ENJOY :)

7/07/01:
Good news for Victorian Underage fans. Something for Kate are now doing a u18s at the corner hotel, on the 19th August. At this stage assume that tix are from the usual outlets (ie. Gaslight, Greville, Polyester, etc.). That's about it for now. Keep those 7"s coming folks :)

6/07/01:
Some new photos (approx 20) have been added from the recent Rockinghorse Records instore appearance (check em out), thanks again to Alyson :)  Photo contributions are welcome, if you have any photos then e-mail me at pappo22@hotmail.com  .Also the Answer 7" archive has been updated again, they're slowly but surely coming in.

5/07/01:
More flyers are added, this time some old skool ones. One from the dean martin era and the other from the launch of elsewhere for eight minutes back in 97.  Check them out. Also another answer 7" has been added (more of the same). Also congratulations again to Something for Kate as Echolalia goes Gold in it's second week on the shelves. Also look out as there will be plenty of pictures coming soon from the recent Rockinghorse Records instore appearance.

3/07/01:
Incase you haven't heard yet, Echolalia debuted at number 2 on the Aria chart and at no. 1 on the alternative chart. go to www.aria.com.au and see for yourselves. Congrats to SFK :) Also Something for Kate will be doing a JJJ LATW on the 16th July at 9pm, so don't forget to tune in for that one. Also keep those Answer 7"s coming in (there should be two newbies up later today). I've also added some echolalia tour flyers to make the images page a little more interesting.

30/06/01:
Lotsa updates today. The first thing is the front cover image (that Dempsey drew today at the Gaslight instore). There's also a few reviews and articles (in reviews), another couple of Answer 7" scans are up and with bit of luck this page will be looking a lot snazzier in the next few days :)

29/06/01:
A setlist from tonight's show at Rockinghorse records has been added to the images section, we'll have pics and a review coming soon (again thanks to ally@somethingorother.com). Also i've added the album review from Beat Magazine and am still working on getting the stuff from this week's Inpress (melbourne streetpress) up on the site, but i'll probably have to type them out, so they'll be up very soon.  Also tomorrow some pics will be up from the Instore at Gaslight - Melbourne. Oh, and yes i DO plan on making this page less dull :)

27/06/01:
Today i've added an archive to the images section, which is dedicated to the 7" Answer to Both Your Questions EP.  I'm hoping to get people to send in scans of their 7" Answer EPs and then archive them on this site (in theory it's a good idea, but it may not work out).
Also yesterday Something For Kate did two performances, one on the Today show and the other on Rove. May i add that Paul's treatment on the today show was somewhat of a joke as they cut him off halfway through his performance of monsters.

latest news 25/06/01:
This site is launched to commemorate the release of something for kate's third album. As this site is brand new there's not much on it. In the lyrics section you will find the lyrics to echolalia. Also there's a few photos from the recent Bendigo instore and Brisbane instore from the 6th may. That's pretty much all that's up at the moment, i hope to get some reviews and old interviews on here as well (as they come to hand). Also suggestions for this site are welcome.
cheers
