1971 Power Pit

The second version has different stickers, and a
more rounded dial mechanism. The box also contains
pictures of the Hotline train and the Earthshakers
bulldozer. Version 1 was released in 1970.

Then the marked down price of $5. I found this Power
Pit at my Grandma's hometown hardware store, Diers,
in 1982. I bought two of them. Sizzler Joe has the
other one. I actually remember seeing these in the
store back in 1976, but never bought one until later.
I remember telling the sales lady that these things
would be "worth something" someday. I guess I was
right.
