Power Green Battery Testing Results!

  • The main purpose of this data was to determine how the new Power Green batteries I was testing would compare to the 150 mAh NiCd batteries.

  • The testing was conducted inside on a 28' Fat Track Oval.

  • Cars that were used were two reliable runners from my collection.

  • Test Car 1

    Yellow 1970 Angelino M-70

    Test Car 1

    Olive 1970 Angelino M-70

Both car bodies have above average wear. The chassis/motors are original with all electrical contacts present.

  • Chargers used were:

  • 1970 Power Pit (Black)
    1971 Power Pit (Orange)
    1970 Juice Machine
    1970 Juice Machine

  • The chargers were swapped between charges to ensure even charging between cars.

  • Results: After roughly one hour of track time using Power Pit Chargers, I did not notice any dropoff of performance in these batteries. With lesser grade batteries, this is sometimes a problem. With a normal 90-second charge, these batteries compared favorably to the 150mAh NiCd.

    BUT . . .

When you increase the charge, however, these batteries SMOKE the competition! Click on the links below to view the data:
