Sizzlers!

Old Mattel
BATTERY INFORMATION:

Here is some information on USED Mattel Sizzler batteries that I have collected:

Short Batteries: 62 total
Bad: 48
Good: 14

Long Batteries: 29 total
Bad: 7
Good: 22

I used two chassis with a Juice Machine for test beds. I found that your odds of finding working Long-Chassis batteries are quite good. The short batteries was kind of hit and miss though.

NOTE: Although these batteries will still work, I recommend replacing them with new ones.

It usually takes several charges to get old batteries to work even for a couple of minutes. The long batteries work a bit better. If you plan on using the old batteries, be prepared to do a lot of maintenance. Here are some tips:

1. Remove batteries after use. These batteries will still leak after all these years. Storing the batteries in the cars will cause fumes and corrosion which will deteriorate chrome finishes and contacts.

2. Clean both battery and connections after use.

3. Store batteries in a cool dry place.
