Welcome aboard, matey!!

The journey you are about to embark on is one of FAITH!  No, no, not the religious kind - Faith the sailboat.  If you came to this site looking for Jesus  jump ship now!   This site is the chronicle of two brothers, Sean and Brian Faul, who dared to dream the impossible, or at least the marginally insane:  to take a 26 foot sailboat from Lake Michigan to Berkeley, California via the Panama Canal! "Marginally insane!?" You exclaim to yourself, "These boys are daft!" "But wait!" We reply, "We've actually researched this!  It can and will be done!"

HERE'S HOW:

Meet the good ship Faith, a 25ft 9in Pearson Commander originally launched in 1966 - one of the first fiberglass lines to hit the water.  She couldn't be called the fastest sloop in the fleet but she'll weather anything short of a hurricane.  With a full keel and wide beam, Faith has endured the worst of the Great Lakes for almost 40 years.  Of course, we intend to visit rivers, gulfs and oceans on both sides of the continent..... ......Will we ever arrive to tell the tale???
