Awards Received by Skeldergate:

Scroll of Honour:

In the summer of 1996, Skeldergate presented a pair of day coronets for the use of the Prince and Princess of Ealdormere to TSH Moria and Roak III.  In recognition of this gift, Their Highnesses placed Skeldergate on Ealdormere’s Scroll of Honour.

Purple Fretty:

On the 25th of January, 1997, many Skeldergate folk (among others) were honoured with a Purple Fretty for their service to the Middle Kingdom in the fall of 1996, as part of the Coronation Crew of Osis and Caitlin.  The scroll was most beautifully calligraphed and illuminated by Baroness Genevieve Chastellain d'Anjou in January of 1997. The illumination was based upon "The Missal of St. Denis", fol. 256v., 14th century France. Reproduced here with permission.

Chronicling Awards:

In AS XXXII, The Owl won the Augustine Prize (Middle Kingdom newsletter prize) for best layout and design, and received an honourable mention in the William Blackfox Prize (Society-wide newsletter prize).
