"Anything"

Hello All! Welcome to Anything's page, I'd like to clear up a few things before we begin. This page is in NO way meant to be a "morbid" deal, rather it is meant to be an educational experiance. Anything died in the fall of 1996, and I did not know her at that time, and I had no part in her death (which, I might add was due to natural causes). Anything was 28 years old when she died, but she left a beautiful filly as a parting gift.

Now that that is out of the way, let's begin! I'll introduce Anything a bit-give y'all some "stats." Anything was a Spanish Mustang who was born in 1969. She spent 3/4 of her life living on a large ranch outwest, where she was more or less free to be herself. She came to Minnesota and spent her last 10 years or so here. My friends aquired her when she was 24 or so, and she was allowed to live out her life, as she had before. Anything was never ridden and had very little human contact, until her final days. She did not have a foal the summer of 1995, but did have a beauiful grulla filly in 1996. This filly litteraly took the life out of Anything, although she gave her all and lasted through weaning. Anything grew weak around the 1996 Thanksgiving time, and died shortly after. She died where she wanted, when she wanted, knowing her filly was safe and that people loved her.

Now...you may be asking, how did I come across Anything? Well, I teach 4H Dog Obedience and I told some of my 4H'ers that I collected animal skulls, and these friends approched me and offered me a horse skull and some cow skulls as well. Not having a horse in my collection, I jumped on this oppertunity readily. I arranged to come out to their farm later that week. That next Thursday I drove 45 minutes to their farm in Clear Lake, and off we headed across potato fields to "the bone yard." I was in 7th heaven there, I got probably 5 young calf and cow skulls, and at least 2 pigs...I was starting to give up on finding this horse, when my friend yelled form the woods to come quick. There, in front of my eyes was my skeleton...and so the story begins...
